When Brad Pitt was happily married to Jennifer Aniston, no one would have thought that their love life will soon come to an end. Brad and Angelina first met on the set of their first film together ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ and their love was not filmy at all, their bond was formed over the time they spent together. In the 2003 movie, they played the role of a husband and wife.
By the time the film wrapped, the news of Brad and Aniston’s separation rumours were all over the headlines, and the couple later confirmed the same in the year 2005.

Jolie-Pitt ‘Rainbow’ family
After ending things with Jennifer, Brad accompanied Jolie for his second adoption in Ethiopia. She welcomed newborn Zahara as her second child in her family after she become the mother of Maddox, whom she adopted in the year 2002 from Cambodia.
A year later, Brad legally adopted Maddox and Zahara. A petition was filed in the Los Angeles court for the surname change from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt.
After years of dating, adopting children and giving them their surnames, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their first biological child Shiloh in May 2006 in Namibia (an African country).
A year later, Jolie went to Vietnam and adopted three-year-old Pax, who Brad adopted later in the US as it was difficult for an unmarried couple to adopt a child in Vietnam.
In the year 2008, Angelina got pregnant again and this time with twins. She confirmed the good news at the Cannes Film Festival. She gave birth to Knox Léon and her daughter Vivienne Marcheline in July that year.
Starting of the end
Who on earth would have imagined that one of Hollywood’s power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would end their marriage just two years after their wedding. Jolie sought divorce from Pitt in 2016 days after a fight allegedly broke out on a private jet in front of their children.
Back then, Jolie cited irreconcilable differences and asked for physical custody of the couple’s shared six children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
Legally single
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt become legally single in the year 2019 after two years they file for divorce. However, their fight over custody of their six children continued.
Never ending custody battle
They continue to get embroiled in a bitter legal battle over custody of their kids. Pitt was awarded joint custody of his children whom he shares with ex-wife Jolie. While Pitt seems to be happy with the judgement, Jolie is reported “bitterly disappointed” with the outcome which wasn’t in her favour, and later claimed that three of her children had hoped to testify against him in the ongoing custody battle.
Fight over winery
Earlier this year in February, Pitt sued their ex-wife for selling her interest in a winery they jointly owned. Jolie has reportedly sold it to a Russian oligarch. Pitt claims he was not made aware of it.
According to the legal documents, the two bought Chateau Miraval in Correns, France back in 2008.

In February 2022, Jolie accused her former husband of domestic violence. Several media agencies have reported that the actress has filed documents in court that state she can offer proof and authority to support her claim of domestic violence.
Fighting over wedding venue
Seems like, for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce was a pretty much easy thing as we look at their other legal fight the couple have embroiled in. This time it’s over a lavish estate they co-own in France.
The couple is also fighting over a chateau where the two got married in 2014. The complaint accuses Jolie of attempting to offload her 50% share in the 1000 acre, $164 million Chateau Miraval in Correns, France without allowing Pitt to buy her out.
For his reputation
Actor Brad Pitt has levelled fresh accusations against Jolie. In legal documents submitted by his team in court, he has alleged that Jolie has intentionally tried to harm his reputation by trying to damage the business of his Miraval wine, which they once co-owned. He alleges that Jolie had sold part of her share to a ‘stranger’.
