Details of Gal Gadot’s Clashes With Joss Whedon Reportedly Surface
Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot's issues with Joss Whedon during the Justice League reshoots reportedly come to light.

The first concrete details of Zack Snyder’s Justice League star Gal Gadot’s issues with Joss Whedon have reportedly come to light.
According to THR, Gadot took issue with “her character being more aggressive than her character in Wonder Woman” following Whedon’s overhaul of the Justice League theatrical cut. “She wanted to make the character flow from one movie to the next.” Sources also note that Whedon threatened Gadot’s career after pushing her to record lines she didn’t like. “Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal,” a source close to the production said. “He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.”
When asked about the situation between her and Whedon, Gadot said, “I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Bros. handled it in a timely manner.”
Gadot first made these issues public in December 2020, just as the WarnerMedia investigation brought on by Ray Fisher’s claims against Whedon, Geoff Johns, Jon Berg and Toby Emmerich was coming to a close. “I’m happy for Ray to go out and speak his truth,” she told The Los Angeles Times. “I wasn’t there with the guys when they shot with Joss Whedon — I had my own experience with [him], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.”
In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ray Porter as Darkseid, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. The film is now streaming on HBO Max.
